There is a need to use modern technology
to combine people, processes, operations or
machinery to form a connected way of working
or smart manufacturing. We also learned about
the importance of the inclusiveness of different
cultures and genders to create sustainable
development plans to address fragile trade
agreements and broken supply chains. Peer-
to-peer networking is set to create an enabling
environment for multiple stakeholders to
work in unison rather than in traditional silos.
Attendees were also given time to
pitch their work between sessions.
Best End User 1st Prize Firstly
congratulations to our 1st prize winner,
Eeje van Jaarsveld, Solutions Analyst,
Exxaro Resources who presented on “The
Application of Autonomous Drills at Gge.
The Tshwane University of Technology team
demonstrated its Plan A to various attendees
who were keen to know about the game
simulation. The outcome of the conference
was a request for Tshwane University of
Technology students to present their work
as possible solutions that are applicable in
industry.
